Our Children are vital to the future growth and development of this fine city, as Mayor I would offer support to those business owners and private investors who have the capacity to build youth entertainment centers (skating rinks, laser tag, Chuck E. Cheese, bowling alley, Boys and Girls Clubs and a future expansion of Westside Recreation Center). Investments into positive intervention programs would enhance our children’s ability to deal with many of the complexities of life, and it provides them with an outlet for channeling energy. As a proud Mentor at Button Gwinnett Elementary School, I shall use my platform to encourage more potential Mentorship involvement. I believe that a more expansive creation of a Performing Arts Center will help us to showcase our children and the community’s many talents. When properly implemented the Arts can help to increase social capital and community cohesion. The implementation of the Savannah Tech Summer 500 Program in Hinesville will be vital to the development of many of our High School Students development of the Soft Skills necessary to enter and be retained in the job market. Public and private partnership with the local Middle and High Schools, Savannah Tech, Business Community and concerned Stakeholders, will help our students establish a work ethic knowledge and soft skills base. Taking advantage of such opportunities are quintessential in preparing for the employment market.
